Here’s How You Can Help Minnesota Home Owners Avoid the Scams
Lead the Scam-Fighting Charge No one understands the full scope of mortgage foreclosure scams because these companies often fly-by-night and do not register with the appropriate state agencies. If you hear potential foreclosure scams advertised on the radio or in your community, call the company to find out more about their services and report any scam you find to the Minnesota Attorney General at (800) 657-3787 or submit a report form. Together, we’ll stand up to keep our communities scam-free.
Start A Conversation Just about every Minnesotan knows someone who has faced foreclosure or is struggling to keep up with a mortgage. But you may not realize it. Start a
conversation about scams the help that is available with your friends, family or co-workers. Don’t leave the people you know subject to advertisements and misinformation – engage in a conversation about Minnesota resources you trust.
